This position within the coatings product line is aimed at transitioning newly developed coatings into production at multiple locations around the globe.  For each location, the candidate will assess all that is needed and work to implement.  Depending on the location, the effort may be as minimal as providing technical training or as maximal as starting from scratch.  The successful candidate will be the primary technical contact and work with extended team members to develop and communicate comprehensive project plans (including capital, engineering, manufacturing and marketing), and work with leadership and external customers to get approval.  Upon approval, the successful candidate will execute those plans quickly and efficiently, and see the project all the through to production.

You will leverage your experience and skills to lead investigations and solution development to any challenging problems.  You will use your leadership abilities to contribute to the evaluation of the process to meet product specifications. Through collaboration with the extended team, leaders and customers, you will prioritize team and workload to drive exceptional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

·         Plan electrochemical process steps to meet customer requirements

·         Identify research, development or industrialization issues and oversee rapid resolution

·         Provide continuous improvement recommendations to meet yield and manufacturing throughput targets

·         Technical sales of Honeywell solutions to external customers

 ·         Represent the technical characteristics and value propositions of our products in sales calls

·         New product introduction (NPI) of Honeywell solutions at partner/customer locations

·         Industrialization of Honeywell solutions at partner/customer locations

·         Resource management in dynamic environment

·         Project planning and execution oversight



·       Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident due to contractual requirements

·       BS or BA Degree in Chemistry or Material Science

·       Understand electroplating and electrolytes for electroplating

·       10+ years technical experience in engineering discipline


·       Electroplating experience with expanding roles of technical responsibility and accountability

·       Understanding of surface preparation of various steels to obtain excellent plating adhesion

·       Understanding of anode types, requirements, and electrochemical attributes

·       Strong R&D background in electroplating chemistry and technology

·       Hands-on person who possesses the sense of urgency and drive to achieve results

·       Proven technical record of accomplishments (solutions, patents, publications, etc.)

·       MS or PhD in Chemistry, Electrochemistry or Materials Science

·       In-depth knowledge of industry requirements, standards, and specifications

·       Experience in manufacturing environment and establishing new manufacturing production lines

·       Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a cross functional, matrixed-team environment

·       Ability to positively influence others, and resolve conflicts tactfully

·       Ability to communicate effectively across language and cultural barriers

·       Professional presence: interpersonal, presentation, written and oral

·       Ability to communicate at all levels inside Honeywell and with customers and partners

·       In-depth knowledge of Honeywell, competitor and customer products, technologies, and services

·       Experience with technical proposals and ability to conduct technical sales to external customers

·       Ability to travel up to 50% both domestically and internationally
